Double, Tandem, Twin Baby Strollers

Double Stroller Quick Buying Guide
There are two types of double strollers, front-to-back (tandem) and side-by-side. With the front-to-back style, one infant sits in front of the other. This is a good choice if you have an infant and toddler. Some of these models offer a higher sitting rear seat so that both children can see forward. An advantage to this type of double stroller is the narrow width making it easier to get through doorways and in crowded stores. A possible disadvantage is that not all of the front-to-back double strollers offer two fully-reclining seats. Features may include: a single canopy hood, separate canopies, individually reclining seats, rear wheel brakes, fully retractable rear seat for a sleeping infant, removable/washable pads, separate footrests, and restraining straps with safety buckle.
The side-by-side style is the more common choice for parents of twins. Though these models are usually designed to fit though most doorways, you will find this type of baby stroller more difficult to maneuver in crowded areas and stores. Features may include: European styling, thick padding, removable/washable pads, individually reclining seats, single shared canopy, storage basket, footrest, and restraining straps with safety buckle.
