Plan a Baby Shower
Choosing the Location
Private Home - Having a shower at a private home is more intimate and often more comfortable for your guests but means there will be preparation and clean up. If the shower is at the expectant parent’s house, find a friend who will stay afterwards with you to help clean up and remove decorations.
My Personal Experience: My own baby shower was at the hostesses house and it was so nice to be able to take a 30 minute nap in the middle of the party. The hostess was a good friend so I was as comfortable as in my own home and I didn't have to feel responsible for my guests.
Outside - A garden party can be lovely. A BBQ in the park can accommodate a large guest list and keep any children happily occupied. Be sure you have an alternate location if the weather doesn't cooperate.
Public Place - You can choose a restaurant or club for your baby shower. Make sure the location is available for your date. Be sure that you ask if you can decorate and who does the clean up. This can be a more costly but sometimes a less complicated solution.
